The BIGGEST change is that Joe's place of employment is closing down. Yep, you read that correctly. This is the second time for this to happen in about a year and a half for Joe. My heart breaks for him. What a tough position to be in. I'm just trying to comfort him and make him realize that he's not a "loser" for the past two places he worked at to close. Lately he's kept his head up and is pushing ahead. He's applied for MANY places already; this next week will be calling all those places and seeing the status of his application. When the company first told everyone that it was closing, Joe was given an end date of March 31st...the day after his birthday. Well last week his supervisor gave his 2 week notice, so they've asked Joe to stay on through April 30th. That definitely helps out and gives us another month to figure something out.
As for the house...this is probably the only thing that hasn't changed. BLAH
Getting healthy!! Joe and I gave up sugars and pops for lent! So far we are doing fantastic! We know of one day that we will have to give up something else in place of the sugar. The Sunday before his bday I am making a funfetti cake for everyone to enjoy. I can't wait for that!!
For lent, I also decided to start working out 5 days a week! I was doing GREAT there for a couple weeks. Then Joe's job was lost (came straight home that night) and then we started getting sick. That week I only made it 3 days. Not what I wanted, but better than I was last year. This past week my ankle started bothering me. Started swelling up and was VERY tender to the touch. I worked out on Monday and Tues, but didn't push myself too hard. Monday during the day I decided I should go to the doctor. I went on Wed and the doctor was stumped. He ordered xrays and sent me on my way. The xrays showed nothing, so he put in a prescription for Naproxen. I worked out Wed night and Thursday was regretting it. I haven't worked out since. :( I feel so lazy!!! Sat we went down to Bloomington with Jenny and Josh and did some walking around. By the time we got home, my ankle was throbbing. I took my shoe off and it was really swollen. I have bloodwork that needs to get completed on Wed. If it doesn't feel better by then, I'll say something again. The really odd thing is that I didn't do anything to it. It just started acting this way.
Today Joe and I went out and got new phones!! YAY! So exciting! We've been playing with them all day. We decided on the LG Dare. :

So far we really like them!! Ask us in a month. :)
MJ
