So....We did it!

We finally buckled down and got a gym membership!! :) We decided to go with Cardinal Fitness, that is a machine only gym. No classes, no frills, and even cheaper. The only downside was the start up cost. Yikes, but we plan on staying there for a while, so it was in our best interest to go with a higher start up cost, with a lower monthly payment (23.90 total for both of us to work out).

After setting everything up for membership, Joe and I started talking about needing new shoes. We decided to hit up Dicks Sporting goods and found these Beauties. :) They are SO light compared to my other workout shoes. I'm pretty happy.



As I type, Joe is online looking for a new pair for himself. It sucks that his feet are SO big that he has to look online. :(

After I finished paying bills, I decided to check out this "Couch to 5k" hype that everyone is talking about. Apparently in 12 weeks, you can go from a couch potato (that is me) to running a 5k. Well I found this fantastic website that has podcasts that I can follow at the gym to keep me on track to being able to run a 5k. :) I started listening to the first Podcast and it seems like it will be great for me. I'm even more motivated for tomorrow!

Which podcast did you download? I've been using the ones from kissmyblackass.org and I like them so much better than the Roger Ulreys ones. It's more my style.
